A thrilling, seductive new series from New York Timesbestselling author Sarah J. Maas, blending Beauty and the Beast with faerie lore.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

Perfect for fans of Kristin Cashore and George R. R. Martin, this first book in a sexy and action-packed new series is impossible to put down!

My Thoughts:

Will Sarah J. Maas please just write ALL THE BOOKS?!?! Because I really need more from her! Don’t get me wrong, I want her to have a life and everything but, man, I could just read her books all day! I love her books so much I intentionally put off reading the ARC of A Court of Thorns and Roses until January 1st. I wanted it to be the first book I read in 2015. Good life decision!

Where to even begin with my love for this book?!? Blending Beauty and the Beast and Faerie lore? It’s like it written just for me! As I read more and more things I love kept showing up. I loved being surprised by each new event so I’m totally not going to tell you specifics 🙂

Feyre and Tamlin (and all the others!) are such interesting characters. Secrets and deceptions and magic and survival kept me captivated with their story. As Feyre delves deeper and deeper into Tamlin’s world and the fae I found  myself unable to put the book down. I just love Sarah’s storytelling style!

A court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas is everything I love about faery stories. Highly recommended.

I’m reading this right now and it’s SO. GOOD. Have you ever read any Robin McKinley books? Another great fantasy author I’ve loved since I was a kid, and Sarah’s writing reminds me of her.
