I am passionate about YA literature and read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I enjoy most genres. My top three (in no particular order) are fantasy, contemporary, and historical fiction. My favorite authors include John Green, Holly Black, Jane Austen, Sarah Rees Brennan, Neil Gaiman, Tamora Pierce, Ally Carter, Suzanne Collins, Kristen Cashore and many, many more.
I have my teaching degree and am certified to teach grades one through eight. My minor was in Library Media studies. I have my professional license in this as well. I started a book blog because I love young adult literature and I want to promote the authors who write it and their books. I think that they are an amazing group of people who do amazing things. Many of my favorite authors are not exactly at the middle school level. I wanted a broader audience to share my love for YA lit and to discuss it 🙂 I’m happy to hear from you. YA Bibliophile Review Policy:
I am currently accepting books for review from publishers. I would be more than happy to read and review ARCs and published books. E-books that can be read on my kindle are acceptable as well. I am not accepting self published books at this time. I will do my best to read and review any books in a timely manner. If you have a certain date in mind please let me know so I can determine if it is feasible for me. My reviews will be fair but honest. If I do not like a book I will give my reasons, however, I will also point out the good points. I will not be rude, disrespectful, mocking or inappropriate about any author or a book.
As my blog name suggests I am an avid reader of young adult books. Most of what I read is fiction. My favorite genres are realistic fiction, historical, paranormal, chick lit and fantasy, but I read a bit of everything.
My reviews will include the title, author, publisher, release date, cover image, summary and my thoughts. If there is other general information you would like me to include please let me know.
I absolutely love promoting YA lit and authors. I am happy to host giveaways, be on blog tours, or do author interviews/spotlights.
My reviews will be posted on this blog and mentioned on twitter (@hmz1505). I will email a copy to you if you would like.
Thank you for considering YA Bibliophile to review your book. I would love to partner with you in getting the word out. Feel free to contact me at:
