Annie and Fia are ready to fight back.

The sisters have been manipulated and controlled by the Keane Foundation for years, trapped in a never ending battle for survival. Now they have found allies who can help them truly escape. After faking her own death, Annie has joined a group that is plotting to destroy the Foundation. And Fia is working with James Keane to bring his father down from the inside.

But Annie's visions of the future can't show her who to trust in the present. And though James is Fia's first love, Fia knows he's hiding something. The sisters can rely only on each other - but that may not be enough to save them.

My Thoughts:

Oy. That Kiersten White sure knows how to craft a story! All the things I loved about Mind Games remain true of Perfect Lies. The fast pace, the uncertainty, the high stakes!!!

As with Mind Games, I think one of my very favorite parts of Perfect Lies is the “sister” aspect.  Without spoiling book one I’ll just say that the dynamic between Annie and Fia has certainly changed.  Not only are they apart in Perfect Lies, they have little to no contact. I really loved seeing Annie discovering her strength. Fia’s story is compelling as well but I don’t want to tell you too much!

These books are so compulsively readable! Not only do we get the story from both Annie and Fia, their narrations are on two separate timelines! This really kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. Add the intensity and uncertainty of the situation and you have a story that keeps your heart racing!

If I hadn’t already been a huge fan of Kiersten White’s books, Perfect Lies would have quashed any doubts I had! I love how versatile her style is. Each series is different from the last. Color me impressed!!

I enjoyed Mind Games quite a bit, but I haven’t had the chance to follow it up with Perfect Lies! Thankfully, it sounds just as good, if not better, so here’s hoping I enjoy it 🙂 Great review!
