I know we’re more than a week into May but I’m a slacker! Here are some of the YA book releases I’m excited for. I’m sure I missed some; there are so many!
May 7
Finale by Stephanie Garber: I held off on reading Legendary in anticipation of this one. I cannot wait to read them both!
Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff: I am so in love with this writing duo’s Illuminae Files. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us with this one.
With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo: I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t read anything be Elizabeth Acevedo! This one sounds incredible.
Somewhere Only We Know by Maureen Goo: I have loved Goo’s last two novels and cannot wait to read another by her. Sweet and smart and funny and all the things I love!
Her Royal Highness by Rachel Hawkins: I love everything Rachel Hawkins writes. So funny and clever. Royals (now titled Prince Charming) was such a delightful read.
Under the Moon: A Catwoman Tale by Lauren Myracle & Isaac Goodhart: I read this one and loved it so much! DC Ink is killing it with these YA graphic novels.
May 14
We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal: I already read this novel full of gorgeous writing! Fantasy readers should check it out!
The Candle and the Flame by Nafiza Azad: This one sounds simply incredible and I am here for it.
I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver: This cover is A++++. The story sounds pretty incredible, too. I’m thankful to see some more YA coming out with non-binary characters. (We still have a long way to go!)
There’s Something About Sweetie by Sandhya Menon: I absolutely adored When Dimple Met Rishi and am so thrilled we get to see more of the characters!
May 21
The Boy Next Story by Tiffany Schmidt: I still need to read the first book in this series. They just look so sweet and I really like the author!
Birthday by Meredith Russo: I’ve heard really great things about this one and the description is intriguing.
May 28
I Love You so Mochi by Sarah Kuhn: This just looks adorable. That title. That cover. Yes, please.
