Hello my friends! Long time no see! Actually, I’m embarrassed by how long it’s been since I last posted. I just wanted to pop on and write a quick update about me and this blog.
Many of you know that I’m a school librarian. Towards the end of the school year last year I found out that I would be splitting my time this year between the middle school I’ve been at for eleven years and the intermediate school (grades 4-6.) I’m not going to lie, this was a huge adjustment for me! And it really threw me for a loop. I feel like things are finally starting to calm down and I feel MUCH more in control of my life.
When everything was going crazy I wasn’t really reading YA. And clearly I wasn’t blogging. It made me really stop and think about if blogging was still something I wanted to do. It takes a lot of time and effort. I wasn’t sure if I really still had that to give. But I’ve missed it. And I do really love it. So, I decided to continue.
Which brings me to this update. I’m not really sure what this blog is going to look like. I know I’ll likely be reviewing more middle grade books than before. Working with fourth through eighth grades means I really need to be reading more widely. (On that note, I would LOVE middle grade recommendations!) I’m also not sure how frequently I’ll be posting. I might even be posting guest reviews from friends and students. My life is ever changing and it seems this blog will be as well.
Thank you to those of you who have stuck with me and supported me through thick and thin. I love being a part of this bookish community!
