Blog Tour: A Wrinkle in Time

February 21, 2018 Blog Tour 1

Welcome to the blog tour for A Wrinkle in Time! Obviously this isn’t a new release. (I was on the 50th anniversary blog tour back in 2012!) But with the movie release just over two weeks away, Macmillan is celebrating!

Today, in honor of Mrs Who (who speaks in quotations!), I’m sharing a collection of quotations from some of my favorite YA books.

“For the two of us, home isn’t a place. It is a person. And we are finally home.”
― Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss

“Somehow, even in the worst of times, the tiniest fragments of good survive. It was the grip in which one held those fragments that counted.”
― Melina Marchetta, Finnikin of the Rock

“We are the choices we make.”
― Patrick Ness, The Knife of Never Letting Go

“Sometimes justice was all about the small victories.”
― Susan Dennard, Truthwitch

“I’m not sure it’s possible to simultaneously love something and keep it safe. Loving someone is such an inherently dangerous act. And yet, love, that’s where safety lives.”
― Gayle Forman, Just One Year

“Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there’s no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic.”
― Laini Taylor, Daughter of Smoke & Bone

“I would have come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we’d fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that’s what we do. We never stop fighting.”
― Leigh Bardugo, Crooked Kingdom

“It gave me hope: if you could make a beautiful piece of art from discarded newspapers and old matchbooks, then it meant that everything had potential. And maybe people were like collages–no matter how broken or useless we felt, we were an essential part of the whole. We mattered.”
― Heather Demetrios, I’ll Meet You There

“Sometimes it seems like everyone knows who I am except me.”
― Becky Albertalli, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

“You can’t run away from who you are, but what you can do is run toward who you want to be.”
― Jason Reynolds, Ghost

“You get used to people being a certain way; you depend on it. And when they surprise you, for better or worse, it can shake you to your core.”
― Sarah Dessen, Saint Anything

“We were all heading for each other on a collision course, no matter what. Maybe some people are just meant to be in the same story.”
― Jandy Nelson, I’ll Give You the Sun

“That’s the thing they never tell you about love stories: just because one ends, that doesn’t mean it failed. A cherry pie isn’t a failure just because you eat it all. It’s perfect for what it is, and then it’s gone. And exchanging the truest parts of yourself–all the things you are–with someone? What a slice of life. One I’ll carry with me into every single someday.”
― Emery Lord, When We Collided

There’s still time to read the book before the March 9th release of the movie. You can also check out the recently released Becoming Madeleine, a biography of Madeleine L’Engle written by her granddaughters.
