I am oh so very sad that I cannot got to the Romantic Times conference this year. I’ve gone the past four years and had so much fun each time. This year it’s April 12-17 at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas and you know that would be a good time.

What I really love about it is that you spend the week (or day if you’re just there for Teen Day!) surrounded by people who love books as much as you do! Authors, editors, agents, bloggers, readers, librarians, booksellers… you name it!

They have an amazing book fair with tons of authors signing and a Teen Day event that is out of this world. This year the Giant Book Fair and Teen Day are on April 16. If you can make it to Vegas that day I highly recommend it!

Teen Day:
Oh man. This day is crazy but also amazing! There are 80+ authors in attendance. Like, everywhere

you turn, there’s an author! There are panels and parties and signings and so, so, so much fun.
This year there’s a candy bar, YA Family Feud, The Match Game, a Hogwarts House Cup showdown and more! Of course there’s also the amazing Teen Day party at the end of the event. This is basically a time to hang out with YA authors, have them sign books, take pictures, eat yummy food, and have the best time.

What are you looking forward to at Romantic Times?
Can I say EVERYTHING? RT is one of the biggest (book) parties of the year and I’m a HUGE book nerd! Also…Vegas. Need I say more???
Which author that you haven’t met are you looking forward to meeting next at Romantic Times?
We’ve met before, but really only in passing, so I’m super stoked that Jennifer Armentrout will be there. Is it weird that I really want a selfie with her?
What’s your favorite romance story?
Of all time, I’m an old school cliché—I have a thing for Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet (to be fair, my thing is mostly for Mr. Darcy). But more recently my daughter has me obsessed with Teen Wolf. More importantly, I LOVE Stiles and Lydia. I completely, totally, need a Sti-dia hookup!
Romantic Times is in Las Vegas this year – tell us which one of your characters and from which book would win big in Vegas? What advice would you give that character?
Chelsea from THE BODY FINDER series, for sure! She’s a no-holds-barred, risk taker. I think the only advice she’d need is to practice her poker face—she’d definitely be easy to read.
What is up next for you?
THE COUNTDOWN, the final book in the The Taking series is coming out in May. All of Kyra’s secrets will be revealed! And then I just announced a new pictured book series, LUNA AND THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD, coming Fall 2017. I’m crazy excited to be contributing to the STEM movement! Plus, girl power!!!
