Expect the unexpected.

Macy's got her whole summer carefully planned.

But her plants didn't include a job at Wish Catering. And they certainly didn't include Wes.

But Macy soon discovers that the things you expect least are sometimes the things you need most.

My Thoughts:

So, The Truth About Forever was the last book featured for the Sarah Dessen summer read along and I totally missed reviewing it! I love this one so I still wanted to post my thoughts (even if it is late!) This won’t be a typical review… just some of the things that make The Truth About Forever stick out to me.

This is the Sarah Dessen book I most often recommend. Not because it’s my favorite (although it’s one of my very favorites!) but because I think it’s just a really great starting poin.! My students seem to agree because once they read this one, they keep coming back for more! It’s certainly the most popular of her books in my library. There’s just something about Wes and Macy!!

Now that I think about it, this may have been my first Sarah Dessen book. I really wish I remembered! Either way, it has a special place in my heart… Wes and Macy’s cameo in Just Listen was the first time I noticed that Sarah’s books were connected. And oh what a great discovery that was 🙂

When I think about this book of course I think of the romantic relationships. But more than that, the friendships and family relationships stuck with me. I remember reading it for the first time and being so in love with the way all three types of relationships were equally important to the story. It’s what really got me hooked on Sarah Dessen books!

So, if you’ve never read anything by Sarah you know where I think you should start! Pick up The Truth About Forever and meet some pretty incredible characters!
