In honor of Huntley Fitzpatrick’s upcoming book The Boy Most Likely To Penguin Teen is running a fun campaign with bloggers called, “The Blog Most Likely to…” Participating blogs choose a superlative that fits their blog. What a fun idea, right?!? I adored My Life Next Door so of course I wanted to participate! I’ve been thinking about this for over two weeks and I think I finally decided on one. It was a lot harder than I anticipated! Without further ado I dub YA Bibliophile:
The Blog Most Likely to Travel for Bookish Goodness!
One of my favorite blog related things to do is meet authors, bloggers, and publishing industry professionals. I love going to author events and conferences.
I actually have a page on my blog dedicated to photos from author events! I’ve been so lucky that I get to do things like this! However, it’s not always easy. Most of the author events I attend are at Anderson’s Bookshop or Boswell Book Company. These are 2.5 and 1.5 hours from my house (each way) respectively. Still, it’s totally worth it.
I also love to visit actual places that have bookish significance. A co-worker and I have gone on a number of bookish vacations. From Prince Edward Island to Indiana to Boston, visiting sights with bookish connections is the best!
I can’t wait to have more bookish adventures! But enough about me! Here’s more about the book plus a giveaway from Penguin Teen:
About the Book:
Tim Mason was The Boy Most Likely To:
– find the liquor cabinet blindfolded
– need a liver transplant
– drive his car into a houseAlice Garrett was The Girl Most Likely To:
– well, not date her little brother’s baggage-burdened best friend, for starters. For Tim, it wouldn’t be smart to fall for Alice. For Alice, nothing could be scarier than falling for Tim. But Tim has never been known for making the smart choice, and Alice is starting to wonder if the “smart” choice is always the right one. When these two crash into each other, they crash hard.
Then the unexpected consequences of Tim’s wild days come back to shock him. He finds himself in a situation that isn’t all it appears to be, that he never could have predicted . . . but maybe should have.
And Alice is caught in the middle.
Told in Tim’s and Alice’s distinctive, disarming, entirely compelling voices, this return to the world of My Life Next Door is a story about failing first, trying again, and having to decide whether to risk it all once more.
