Sophia has seven days left in Tokyo before she moves back to the States. Seven days to say good-bye to the electric city, her wild best friend, and the boy she’s harbored a semi-secret crush on for years. Seven perfect days…until Jamie Foster-Collins moves back to Japan and ruins everything.
Jamie and Sophia have a history of heartbreak, and the last thing Sophia wants is for him to steal her leaving thunder with his stupid arriving thunder. Yet as the week counts down, the relationships she thought were stable begin to explode around her. And Jamie is the one who helps her pick up the pieces. Sophia is forced to admit she may have misjudged Jamie, but can their seven short days of Tokyo adventures end in anything but good-bye?
My Thoughts:
This book was so much fun to read! I flew through it in one sitting and have no regrets!
When I read the summary for Seven Days of You two main things drew me in.
- The whole set up of, “I can’t stand him!” to, “Maybe I misjudged him?”
- The fact that he’s just arrived back in Tokyo and she’s about to leave.
These are both aspects that I love in a book! The miscommunication and the limited time frame? It makes everything seem that much more intense. This of course keeps me reading and devouring the story.
Sophia is trying to spend as much time as she can with her friends before leaving which means she can’t avoid Jamie. I loved their interactions and learning more about why she has such an aversion to him. It was also interesting to see the ways her other friendships changed under the pressure of impending separation.
Seven Days of You by Cecilia Vinesse is a fun and compelling read. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
