Blog Tour: Redemption – Review

October 18, 2016 Blog Tour, Book Review 0

Welcome to the next stop on the blog tour for Anne Osterlund’s Redemption, the third and final Aurelia book. I’m so happy to be a part of this tour. I read Aurelia in 2009, before I really started blogging. I simply fell in love with the story.

About the Book:

The—dare I say, epic?—conclusion of Aurelia & Robert’s trilogy.

AURELIA, former crown princess of Tyralt, has cobbled together a new life in exile with ROBERT, the young countryman who loves her. In the Outer Realms, they have found safety, but their homeland has not. Tyralt is under attack. When a friend from the past arrives to persuade Aurelia to rescue her country, she and Robert must weigh the hopes of a kingdom against their own failures, nightmares, and self-doubt. Because both Aurelia and Robert know that if they make the wrong choice, with the freedom of an entire nation at stake, they may not find redemption.

My Thoughts:

As I said, I read Aurelia before I started blogging regularly. I was immediately captivated by the characters. I read Exile as soon as I got my hands on it in 2011 and have been dying for Redemption ever since! It was so great to finally find out what happens with Aurelia, Robert, and all of Tyralt.

The thing I love most about this series is Aurelia herself. She is such a wonderful character. Her life totally changes multiple times over the course of the three books. Watching her deal with everything life throws at her (and grow from it) was so interesting. She cares so much for the people around her that as a reader I couldn’t help but care for her! I felt the same way about Robert… and nearly every other character in the book! Osterlund does a really wonderful job of making her characters stand out.

Of course I don’t want to spoil Redemption by going into details about the plot! I will say this: the pages flew by! From page one the action is go, go, go! Aurelia is trying to rescue her country and time is not a luxury she has! Every decision made could have life or death consequences. I certainly couldn’t stop reading until I knew how it all played out!

Redemption is a thrilling conclusion to a wonderful series. I really hope more people discover Aurelia and company!
