Top Ten Authors of “Kissing Books”

kissingbook

Unlike young Fred Savage, I ask this question hoping for an affirmative answer! I love romance in books and there are some authors I know I can turn to when I need a good kissing book. I actually made two lists. One is for when you want to just read one book and feel totally content with the romance at the end. The other is for the authors that make characters go through a whole series before they can be together! Which I love.

All in One Kissing Book Authors:

  1. Stephanie Perkins:  Anna, Lola, and Isla are my go to feel good romances! Steph is queen of the kissing books!
  2. Sarah Dessen: I could re-read her books a million times and not get tired of them! Owen is still my favorite Dessen guy 🙂
  3. Katie McGarry: Love, love, love her books! I really like that we get the story from both perspectives.
  4. Emery Lord: Yep. Please just write all of the books. And include kissing. Thanks.
  5. Jennifer Echols: You can’t go wring with her romantic comedies or dramas. Both are excellent!
  6. Miranda Kenneally: Her books are so much fun. And I’ve loved the romances in each!
  7. Huntley Fitzpatrick: My Life Next Door is one of my all time favorite kissing books 🙂
  8. Morgan Matson: I really loved Since You’ve Been Gone. Like all the others, it’s not just a kissing book!
  9. Elizabeth Eulberg: The getting-to-the-romance aspect of Elizabeth’s books is just as much fun as the actual romance!
  10. Meg Cabot: Obviously. I love all her books! She knows kissing books!!

Romance Over a Series Authors:

  1. Cassandra Clare: Oh man.The romance might start early on but her characters go through so much  before they get their happily ever after!
  2. Sarah J. Maas: I love the way this lady does romance! Her characters change and sometimes that means the person they want to be with changes, too! Cannot wait to see what’s next.
  3. Richelle Mead: Both Vampire Academy and Bloodlines are full of characters who have to go through hell to be together!
  4. Laini Taylor: Oh man. The things that were in the way of love in the Daughter of Smoke & Bone books!!!
  5. Leigh Bardugo: I think she may actually be trying to kill me with her stories.
  6. Mary E. Pearson: I need The Beauty of Darkness now so I know how it all ends up, ok?
  7. Marie Rutkoski: I can’t even with the amazing romance in The Winner’s Curse books.
  8. Gayle Forman: I know it only takes two books but still! The things these characters go through!!
  9. Marissa Meyer: I wasn’t sure I was going to make it until Winter!
  10.  Cinda Williams Chima: I cannot say enough about my love for the Seven Realms books. Waiting for the romance… oh man! So great.

What about you? Who are your go to authors for kissing books?

  1. Elizabeth

I love your list! Stephanie Perkins and Emery Lord are two of my favorite authors. I do the same – Stephanie Perkins, Emery Lord, and Jenny Han. Can’t go wrong with any of those! Happy Valentine’s Day!

  2. Morgan @ Gone with the Words

I love how you broke up your list!!! And I am ALL IN for kissing books, always!

Anna is still my favorite and I’m hoping to read Isla this month, seems like the perfect time for it 🙂 Loved Since You’ve Been Gone, The Start of Me and You, and Jesse’s Girl! All great author choices. Have you read Meant to Be or The Art of Lainey? Those are my other go-to kissing books. Also Kasie West, loved The Distance Between Us and On the Fence!

Yessss I love the Seven Realms! Talk about a slow burn romance! The Lunar Chronicles is such shippy fun, and so are SJM books. Can’t wait to see where the characters go in ToG, although I am FIRMLY Team Tamlin in ACOTAR. The Orphan Queen duology is another awesome kissy series. Love the romance and the action.
