Top 10 Books I’ve Read So Far in 2015
Oh man. This is hard! I’ve read 101 YA books so far in 2015 and there have been so many excellent ones! I’m not limiting myself to ten. There are just too many that I love, love, love! I did manage to split them into a couple groups 🙂
Contemporary:
This has been a year for reading excellent contemporary novels that really speak to me! Here are my very favorites read so far:
I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
The Carnival at Bray by Jessie Ann Foley
The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord
Hold Me Closer: The Tiny Cooper Story by David Levithan
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne
Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry
I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley
Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan
The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler
Devoted by Jennifer Maiethu
Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway
Fantasy/Historical:
I love me some fantasy and am totally surprised that so few of my favs fit here! There are a couple upcoming ones I adore but they go in a different category. Also, I’m listening to the audiobook of Froi of the Exiles right now but am 99% sure I’d add it to this list. It’s so great!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Lion Heart by A.C. Gaughen
Jackaby by William Ritter (not reviewed yet since I recently finished it!)
Nonfiction:
I set a goal to read at least one nonfiction a month this year. I’m really enjoying it. I’ve read some really great books. These are the three standouts.
The Family Romanov by Candace Fleming
Charles and Emma by Deborah Heiligman
The Boys Who Challenged Hitler: Knud Pedersen and the Churchill Club by Phillip Hoose
Upcoming:
Oh my stars! There are some fabulous books coming up! Be on the lookout for these titles. They’re more of my favorites from the year!!
Hello? by Liza Wiemer

Truthwitch sounds SO GOOD! I can’t wait to try it. I also loved Court of Thorns and Roses! So good! It’s motivating me to read Throne of Glass this next week while camping. I really need to also commit to reading that 1st Katie McGarry book which keeps staring at me from my shelves! Great EPIC list!
