Locke Jenkins has some catching up to do. After spending 260 years as a disembodied mind in a little black box, he has a perfect new body. But before he can move on with his unexpected new life, he’ll have to return the Favor he accepted from the shadowy resistance group known as the Network.

Locke must infiltrate the home of a government official by gaining the trust of his daughter, seventeen-year-old Raine, and he soon finds himself pulled deep into the world of the resistance—and into Raine’s life.

In Fox Forever, Mary E. Pearson brings the story she began in The Adoration of Jenna Fox and continued in The Fox Inheritance to a breathtaking conclusion as Locke discovers that being truly human requires much more than flesh and blood.

My Thoughts:

Reading this book was such a bittersweet experience! I read The Adoration of Jenna Fox way back in 2009. I had really just gotten into reading again and it just wowed me. Now, years later I finally found out how it all ends. So it was bittersweet twice over! (My experience and the story itself!)

Locke (whom I adore – see my review of The Fox Inheritance!) is just finally ready to get his life back. Of course he has a Favor to repay and it puts his new life in jeopardy. Poor Locke! Will he never catch a break?!? Don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing the next phase in his life and getting more of his story. My heart just breaks for all he’s gone through. It was really interesting to see more of his character come out in this story. He’s really piecing together who he wants to be and what he wants out of his life. So fascinating to see!

I don’t want to say too much since this is the third and final book in a trilogy.I will say this, Fox Forever did an excellent job of wrapping up the bits and pieces from The Adoration of Jenna Fox and The Fox Inheritance. The reader gets to see beloved characters from previous books and meet new and fascinating characters. I love the real life issues that these books bring up and how they get me thinking. The Jenna Fox Chronicles is one of my favorite YA series out there.
