January TBR

A number of my goals for 2015 deal with being more organized and intentional with the books I’m reading. I’m hoping to do a monthly TBR Pile post at the beginning of each month to help guide my reading. Not gonna lie, January is a bit ambitious. I don’t intend to get to every singe book but these are the ones that top my list. I will read the review books for sure! We’ll see how this goes!

First Book of 2015:
I like to save a book I’m dying for to start the year off! This year I want the first book I read to be A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I am so excited for this book!

For Review:
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven (Release Date: 1/6)
Perfect Couple by Jennifer Echols (e-galley, Release Date: 1/13)
We Can Work it Out by Elizabeth Eulberg (Release Date 1/27)

Morris Awards:
I”m dedicating a week to the Morris Award finalists. I need to read one for review and just want to read the other two (I’ve already read two.)
The Story of Owen: Dragon Slayer of Trondheim by E.K. Johnston
The Carnival at Bray by Jessie Ann Foley
Gabi, A Girl in Pieces by Isabel Quintero

Sarah Dessen Re-Read:
To stay on track for the Sarah Dessen re-read I’m doing with Mitali I need to read Sarah’s first three books.
That Summer
Someone Like You
Keeping the Moon

Series to Finish:
One of my 2015 goals was to finish at least on series a month! I’m aiming for two in January.
Sisters’ Fate by Jessica Spotswood
Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder

Physical TBR Shelf:
A book from my bookshelves that I haven’t gotten to yet.
Winter’s Kiss by Jennifer Echols and Catherine Hapka

E-Reader TBR Shelf:
A book for review that I missed reading 🙁
Wildlife by Fiona Wood (I was really anticipating this one but it arrived during the craziness of moving!)

Nonfiction:
This Star Won’t Go Out by Esther Earl with Lori and Wayne Earl (I have the audiobook as well)

January Release:
Fairest by Marissa Meyer
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK!!! It’s coming out 1/27 and I plan to read it ASAP!

So, yes, that is a lot of books! I still want to leave time for books I just feel like reading (I’m dying to start The Start of Me and You!!) This list will at least give me guidance when I’m trying to decide what to read next.

That’s awesome that you are going to do monthly TBR posts. I always want to do that, but I’m terrible with following through. I’m such a mood reader, and my mood changes at the drop of a pin.

I think it’s great starting the year off with a book that you will be super excited about. I’m trying to do the same thing, because the last book I read in 2014 was not a book I loved. But I want to start the year off right.
