It’s almost Thanksgiving (where has this year gone?!?!) which means I’ve started to think of what I’m getting everyone for Christmas! As I’ve gotten older Christmas is definitely more about the younger kiddos in the family (as it should be!) but I still find myself thinking about what I would love to find under the tree from Santa! Here are just a few of the things on my ridiculously long list this year. Check out previous years here, here, and here.
Last year I desperately wanted this Kate Spade necklace. Alas, it is no longer available. However, this one is now available and I really love it too! There’s just something about an elegant book necklace that gets me!!
I am a huge fan of the Pemberley Pond etsy shop. Last year I had some Pride & Prejudice goodies on my list. I ended up buying them for myself with Christmas/birthday money. The lovely ladies behind the shop have recently done this Anne of Green Gables print and I need it like crazy!!
The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies. I recently listened to the audiobook As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride. This had me falling in love with the story all over again. I have a paperback copy of the book but I think this edition looks gorgeous! I mean, if I can’t have a first edition, this is the next best thing!
Kate Spade also has some fabulous “glasses” type products which totally count as bookish/librarianish! I adore this bracelet and this pouch with office supplies!
One of the things I’ve been working on being better at is organization, especially in relation to this blog. I’d love the classic Passion Planner to help me organize my reading and blogging goals (as well we the rest of my life!!) Also, a nice desk size calendar for my new office would be great. I love how colorful this one is!
This Hagrid pillow is pretty much the cutest thing ever. Look at little Norbert!!! It would go perfectly on the futon in my Harry Potter themed guest room!!! It’s from the MooSquares etsy shop!
Also for my Harry Potter room, these Harry Potter Inspired Alphabet Cards are fabulous. Thanks to Jen for pointing them out to me! Check out Afternoon Coffee etsy shop for more!
I love to put on cozy socks and curl up under a blanket on a cold winter day. These cleverly named “I’ve Tread Them All” socks from ModCloth would be perfect!!
These adorable library card coasters from Out of Print would look perfect in my new house! I like to have a little something geeky in every room!
Also from Out of Print is this lovely Pride and Prejudice pouch. I think it’d be the perfect size to hold all the pens, chapstick, etc… in my purse!
The Busy Beez and Chickadeez etsy shop has some amazing lockets I’d love to get my hands on! Not only do they have beautiful Pride and Prejudice lockets like the one shown, but also Anne of Green Gables! How perfect!
I have to admit that I’m not much of a candle person but I’ll make an exception for these great literary candles from Frostbeard Studio. I would love to try out The Shire as well as Cliffs of Insanity, Sherlock’s Study, Pemberley Rose, and Sassenach. I thought there were Ravenclaw and Dumbldore’s Office scents as well. Perhaps they’re just sold out?
I love these “Puffin in Bloom” versions of classic children’s books. I have Heidi but want to complete my collection with Little Women, A Little Princess, and Anne of Green Gables!
My friend Jaimie pointed out this amazing Harry Potter themed ugly Christmas “sweater” and now I feel like I need to have it! I also really like the Rudolph one!!
I have about a million more bookish and/or geeky things on my wishlist but these are some of my favorites. What about you? What do you hope Santa (or whoever brings gifts!) brings you?
Quinn @ Quinn's Book Nook
Awww these things are so cute. I love that pride and prejudice pouch. And that locket, too. And I love that Christmas Sweater. I saw it a few days ago, and I’m seriously debating buying it for myself. I mean, it’s just so freaking awesome!
I actually use a paper planner for my blog, and it was one of the best things I ever did. I do use it to keep track of what I’m planning on posting, but the best thing is that I can make lists of things I want to do. And then check them off once I’ve done them. It really works for me. I’ve tried electronic calendars but they don’t work for me, because I don’t really need them only to keep track of appointments/blog posts.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Bella
I adore Kate Spade and have MANY items from there on my wish list. The glasses print is perfect for readers!
The Pemberley Pond shop is too cute! I bookmarked it for future reference, as I’m sure I’ll be shopping there often.
Finally, I am in love with the Puffin in Bloom books. I truly don’t need a second copy of Little Women, but I would by lying if I said if I didn’t want that pretty floral edition.
I hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving!
