Top Ten 2014 Releases I’m Dying to Read!
This topic is really similar to one from about a month ago. Of course there are a ton more I’m excited about! So, go check those out if you haven’t but add these to my list!
In no particular order….
1. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart: I loved the Ruby Oliver books and cannot say enough good things about The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks. This book sounds amazing.
2. Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray: Oh dear. I’m anticipating this one with a sense of dread. I was pretty sure I’d never sleep again after finishing the audiobook of The Diviners (I am still haunted by the narrator singing the “Naughty John” ditty.) I love Libba Bray’s writing and cannot wait to read this one… even if I’m pretty sure I’ll end up hiding under the covers!
3. In the Shadows by Kiersten White and Jim Di Bartolo: Uh, yeah. This looks amazing. I love images and words working together to tell a story. Kiersten White is a favorite author and Jim Di Bartolo does amazing illustrations.
4. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins: Adore the Hex Hall series. Rachel Hawkins does such a wonderful job of telling a great story with humor. I’ve read the first few chapters and am so hooked! Love the idea for this one.
5. Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead: I just finished The Fiery Heart and oh my stars I need to know what happens next! I love the Bloodlines series even more than Vampire Academy (and I really love VA!)
6. The Iron Trial by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black: Middle grade from Holly Black and Cassandra Clare? Obviously I need this.
7. The Unbound by Victoria Schwab: I really loved The Archived. The writing style, the story, the librarians!!!! Cannot wait to go back to that world!
8. Breathe, Annie, Breathe by Miranda Kinneally: More Hundred Oaks? Heck yes!! I know Racing Savannah just came out but I already need more!
9. Perfect Lies by Kiersten White: Another book by Kiersten White! Yay for prolific authors! More books, more better. And of course I need to know what happens after Mind Games!
10. Uninvited by Sophie Jordan: I adore all Sophie’s books and am always anticipating her next release!
Again, more books I’m anticipating on this list from last month. Also, I’m always anticipating anything by John Green, Holly Black, and Maureen Johnson (just to name a few!)
