About the Book: They’re from two different worlds.
He lives in the estate house, and she spends most of her time in the stables helping her father train horses. In fact, Savannah has always been much more comfortable around horses than boys. Especially boys like Jack Goodwin—cocky, popular and completely out of her league. She knows the rules: no mixing between the staff and the Goodwin family. But Jack has no such boundaries.
With her dream of becoming a horse jockey, Savannah isn’t exactly one to follow the rules either. She’s not going to let someone tell her a girl isn’t tough enough to race. Sure, it’s dangerous. Then again, so is dating Jack…
My Thoughts: Ahhhhhhhhh! I was so excited when I was approved for this one on netgalley! More Miranda Kenneally! More Hundred Oaks! Horses! So many things to love! Even with all that excitement going in, I was not disappointed!
First and foremost I loved being back in Hundred Oaks. I loved seeing glimpses of main characters from the previous novels. I loved getting to know minor characters from previous novels better. And I really loved getting to know Savannah and Jack.
And the setting! I loved that it was on an estate/horse farm. You get the whole working with horses/barn aspect PLUS the fancy schmancy estate house complete with servants. The horse racing aspect brought in another setting I loved… the actual racetrack! So much awesome!
Then there’s the whole division between Savannah’s world working on the farm and Jack’s world running it. At times this drove me crazy. I wanted to shake both of them at different points throughout the book. But then I would remember that they are teens and still trying to figure out their place in the world. It was interesting to see the way they each reacted to different events and perceptions.
I know this one just came out but can I have the next one please?!? So much love for these books! Check back tomorrow for an interview with the author!
