About the Book: Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’d dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

This novel is one of Julie’s books that will have you demanding for the second one as soon as you finish your read.

My Thoughts: Oh man. I was so excited to be back in the Nevernever! I listened to the audiobook of The Iron Knight not that long ago and was sad to leave the world of the Iron Fey when it ended. Having a whole new cast of characters and a new conflict was so exciting. Julie Kagawa did not disappoint

I had so many questions going in…. what would the Ethan be like? He had such a role in starting all the events of the The Iron Fey series yet he was so young and didn’t really have a conscious part in it. How would those events and basically losing his sister effect him? What kind of conflict would there be? Where would Ethan fit in? Would I see characters I loved from the previous series? If so, would they overshadow the new characters? I had all of the questions!!!! They were all answered in the best ways possible and I totally fell for this new tale.

The Lost Prince starts off with drama and tension. It keeps pace all the way through the story. I absolutely loved meeting the new characters and getting glimpses of characters from previous books. I don’t want to spoil anything but I’ll just say I am super glad I read The Iron Knight before I read this one. You can totally enjoy the story without reading The Iron Fey books but I really think you would be missing out. Do yourself a favor and read all four of the books from the previous series first!

I was immediately caught up in Ethan’s story. The characters and events simply swept me away. I am so glad I can venture to places like the Nevernever without actually having to encounter any fey. Ethan will tell you… you can’t trust a faery!
