top ten

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature run by the lovely crew at The Broke and The Bookish

Bwa ha ha ha ha. Ten?!?! I could not. I am not even trying to whittle it down any more than I did. It’s way over ten but way less than I started with. In an effort to make it a bit more manageable I did group titles.

2015 Releases I’ve Read but NEED to Own:

The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black: Yeah, Holly Black fangirl forever and ever. I loved this return to faeries!! Such a fabulous story.

All Fall Down by Ally Carter: Ally writes some of the most fun and readable books ever! I love the characters she creates and the  fast pacing of her stories. All Fall Down was no exception!!

The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkowski: AHHHHHHHH! I still cannot talk intelligently about this book. I need book three ASAP!!

2015 Releases I have and Cannot Wait to Read:

I Was Here by Gayle Formam: Gayle! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!! This book sounds really interesting and I cannot wait to get to it!

We Can Work it Out by Elizabeth Eulberg: Finally! The follow-up to The Lonely Hearts Club! So exciting!!!

Next in a Series I Adore:

Fairest and Winter by Marissa Meyer: Dude, we get TWO books from The Lunar Chronicles in 2015!!!!!

Lion Heart by A.C. Gaughen: After flying through Lady Thief I need this book like crazy!! Such an amazing series.

The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead: I’ve held off on reading Silver Shadows until this one comes out! Cannot wait to see how it all wraps up.

The Raven Cycle, book 4 by Maggie Stiefvater: More Ronan!!! And Gansey, Blue. Adam, Noah, etc…. This is one of the most original and amazing series out there!

Throne of Glass, book 4 by Sarah J. Maas: I cannot wait to see where Celaena goes next!! She is such an excellent main character.

Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray: I still cannot talk about The Diviners without getting creeped out. So. great.

The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson: One of my favorite new series! I love Mary Pearson’s writing and storytelling! Really need to know what happens next!

Manners & Mutiny by Gail Carriger: The final book in one of my favorite series! I love the humor. Steampunk fun!

New Series Starting in 2015:

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: Gah!!!!!!! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!! The Grisha Trilogy is a favorite and I cannot wait for more from Leigh (especially set in the same world!)

Shadow Study by Maria V. Snyder: More Yelena and Valek? Be still my heart!!!!!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas: I adore Sarah’s other series (Throne of Glass) and cannot wait to see what more she has in store for readers!

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard: Ohmystars does this look good! MAGIC!!!!

Etc…:

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen: Obvs.

Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan: Carrie is one of my very favorite authors and an all around awesome person. I loved the middle grade she and her husband wrote. Cannot wait for more YA from her!

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness: More Patrick Ness books in the world!!!

I Crawl Through It by A.S. King: Basically one of the most amazing writers out there. I read ALL THE BOOKS!

Jessie’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally: Every book Miranda publishes is my new favorite. They just keep getting better and better.

Kissing Ted Callahan (And Other Guys) by Amy Spalding: I have an authorly type friend who says this one is amazing. I trust her book judgment!

Also, two authors who I am always looking for more books from: John Green and Tamora Pierce. I know Tammy has more books coming out in 2015 but not sure about John Green!

Awesome list. In fact, some of these books are new-to-me and I’m going to go check them out now. I have Dessen’s latest book on my list as well as Court of Thorn and Roses….definitely intrigued by that one! And I have never read a book by Maas before, which I need to remedy. I also had no idea Miranda Kenneally had a new book coming out…must check that one out as well!

Great picks! You’ve got a few on here that I’ve got on my own list – Throne of Glass 4, Six of Crows and A Court of Thorns and Roses. You’ve also got others I’m excited for but didn’t manage to make my list. 2015 is going to be a brilliant year for books. I hope you enjoy of these when you finally get to read them 🙂 Here’s my STS.

Such great picks! I totally forgot about Jessie’s Girl and Saint Anything when making my own list, but both sound like good reads. Happy reading! :]

I added a few books to my TBR because of this post! Thanks…I think. I’m so jealous you’ve already read Holly and Ally’s books! They both sound SO good.
