I’m not usually a blog host participant but this one was just too fun to pass up! I’m always interested in learning more about other bloggers. So, here are 5 facts about me!
1. I read pretty much all genres in YA! I really adore fantasy and contemporary the most. Still, historical fiction, sci-fi, paranormal, it’s all good! Horror is the only genre I really shy away from because I am such a baby!
2. When I’m not reading YA I’m likely reading adult historical romance! I love books by Sarah MacLean, Sophie Jordan, Julia Quinn, Julie Garwood, and more!!
3. I am addicted to audiobooks! You can find some of my recommendations here. The three I suggest most often are The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Scorpio Races, and The Demon King!!
4. I love going to author events! There are three great independent bookstores within two hours of where I live so I get to attend lots of signings! I also love attending conferences like Romantic Times (which has a great YA track!) and NCTE! You can check out some of the bookish people I’ve met here.
5. Aside from books, I geek out about Star Wars, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Newsies, The Muppets, Harry Potter, and other geekery 🙂

La La in the Library
It is a little known adult high fantasy series called The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever by Stephen R. Donaldson. I have read the original six and found out a few months ago he wrote three more stories for the series in more recent years. I like these novels better than the Lord of the Rings books. There are actually a lot of series that I like, and it would take forever to list them all, so here’s a few: Daughter of Smoke & Bone series, Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep (I actually have all of them in paperback) The Leviathan Trilogy, and Double Vision Trilogy by F.T. Bradley. 😀

I love Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Cycle. And I’m begging my daughter to read Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles. Plus, I’m forever telling people to read Megan Shepherd’s The Madman’s Daughter. But all series, in my opinion, must bow before the Harry Potter series!
