It’s week four of the #ReadISLA campaign and we are getting closer and closer to the release of Isla and the Happily Ever After! Last week we revisited Anna and the French Kiss. This week we’re celebrating Lola and Cricket! You’ve already read the chapter samplers for Isla and Anna. Now you can check out the chapter sampler for Lola and the Boy Next Door! Even though Lola doesn’t have quite as many connections to Isla I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND re-reading it (along with Anna of course!) Seriously. You’ll just get so much more out of Isla and the Happily Ever After. I mean, Isla is amazing in her own right and the book certainly stands alone. It’s just so fun to see the little reminders of the previous books!

When I talked about  Anna and the French Kiss I included an excerpt from my original review. Now, here’s one from my 0riginal review of Lola and the Boy Next Door:

Yet again Stephanie Perkins has crafted a story that will have you sighing in contentment at the end. The story is sweet but not too cheesy. The characters and events are authentic and unique. It’s not all perfect life/instalove-y. I want to hang out with these people. Heck, I want to be Lola! I love the relationships, the banter, the clothes! I could go on and on and on and on. If this book were a boy I’d totally be that harmless somewhat obsessive stalker like girl! I have so much love! Honestly one of the best books I’ve read this year.

The only thing that I would change is that last line. Lola and the Boy Next Door is one of the best books I’ve read. Period. I have so much love for Lola, Cricket, and everything they go through!

As I mentioned last week, I have a crazy-talented friend who makes amazing art and is also a YA fan! Of course she loves Steph’s books! Last week I showed you a piece she created for me using a quotation from Anna. In honor of Lola week, here’s the piece she did with a quotation from Lola:

So perfect, right?!?! Now I just need to re-read Isla to find a quotation and finish out the set!

Don’t forget! Follow and use #ReadISLA on social media! Also, if you want some fabulous Anna/Lola/Islaswag and a chance to get one of the awesome tote bags pre-order your copy of Isla and the Happily Ever After from a participating bookstore.
