Top Ten Series I Love but am Behind On
There are so many series that I love, love, love but am one or more books behind on! Here are some of the ones I need to get to!
1. The Mortal Instruments: City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare: I went to the release party for this one and everything! I just know how Cassandra Clare likes to RIP MY HEART OUT so I’ve been holding off!
2. The Body Finder: The Last Echo (and on)by Kimberly Derting: My students and I love these books. I really need to get to this one but it’s basically always on loan to a student.
3. Shades of London: The Madness Underneath by Maureen Johnson: I have a really lame reason for this one… I’m a baby. Seriously. I need a day when I have nothing planned so I can read it in the morning and then read something that won’t make me have to sleep with the lights on afterwards!
4. Hex Hall: Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins: Basically I was in denial over the series being over. However, now I have School Spirits so I can read this one!
5. Morganville Vampires: Fade Out (and everything after!) by Rachel Caine: I came to these books late in the game but really enjoy them. After reading the first one I went out and bought all the rest! I’m slowly but surely making my way through the series.
6. Gallagher Girls: Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter: Also, Heist Society: Perfect Scoundrels. I love Ally’s books so much. They’re so fun and I always feel good after reading them. Why am I not caught up?!?!
7. Raised by Wolves: Trial by Fire (and on) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes: I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Raised by Wolves was actually the first of her books I read. It’s one of my all time favorite werewolf books. SUCH a slacker to have not read the others!
8. Ruby Red: Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier: I am terrible. I adored book one and was so excited to get Sapphire Blue for review. Yet I never picked it up. What is wrong with me?!?!
9. The Montmaray Journals: The FitzOsbornes at War by Michelle Cooper: While I thought A Brief History of Montmaray was a bit slow, things really picked up in The FitzOsbornes in Exile. I remember dying for The FitzOsbornes at War. Yet, have I read it? No! Fail!!
10. Under the Never Sky: Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi: Oh man. Perry. I love him. Under the Never Sky really surprised me with how much I loved it. I cannot believe I haven’t read this one yet! Worst. Fangirl. Ever.
What about you? What series do you love but are behind on? Are you like me and pre-order the book but don’t get around to reading it? Or are you a call-in sick-and-read-it-right-now type?
