Top Ten Books That Have Been on my Shelf the Longest but I’ve Never Read

I have gotten much better about not buying so many books. When I first started blogging this was not the case. I still have a number of books on my shelf that I bought a year ago but haven’t read! This is totally unacceptable! These are in no particular order.

1. Vanished series by Meg Cabot: I have read nearly everything else Meg has publisher. The bind-ups of the first four books are on my shelf. I adore Meg so I have no idea why I’ve not read these yet!

2. Wicked Girls by Stephanie Hemphill: I met Stephanie at a YA lit event last year and she is utterly delightful. This is a fictionalized account of the Salem Witch Trials told from the perspective of three teen girls who feed in to the histeria. It’s also a verse novel. So much to love! Check it out here.

3. Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl: I read Beautiful Creatures right when it came out and loved it. I rushed out to buy this one. On my shelf it sits.

4. Morganville Vampires books 3-10 by Rachel Caine: I really enjoyed the first two so I went out and bought them all. Now to read them…

5. Vixen by Jillian Larkin: A YA book set in the roaring twenties? Yes, please! Why have I not read this one yet?!? What is wrong with me?

6. Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly: This book sounds exactly like something I would love. I’ve heard amazing things about it as well. Gah! Read it already Heidi!

7. Skinned by Robin Wasserman: This book isn’t even called Skinned any more! The series just got a makeover and it’s now called Frozen

8. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta: I adore Melina’s books. I started this one but then had a lit class that took up all my reading time so I never got back to it. I’m sure I’ll love it but I also fear it will hurt my heart. Melina is good at that.

9. The Van Alen Legacy and every Blue Bloods book after that by Melissa de la Cruz: I got off track with this series. I was enjoying it. I think I’m intimidated by the stack I have to read now!

10. Torment by Lauren Kate: I really enjoyed Fallen so I have no idea why I’ve not read Torment and Passion yet. Heidi fail I guess!

What about you… what books are on your shelf that you just haven’t gotten to yet?
