In my Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. The idea of In My Mailbox is to bring books to the attention of blog readers and to encourage interaction with other blogs.
I filmed a vlog but it was awful so I decided to spare you. I had to use my built-in camera and it just wasn’t pretty! Still, I got some fun things and I couldn’t resist sharing!
Song of the Red Cloak by Chantel Acevedo: This one is from the author and is for a giveaway! I reviewed this book last week and then had Chantel on the blog for an interview. It’s a signed copy! Enter to win here.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs: In the aforementioned interview with Chantel she recommended I add this book to me TBR… so I did 😉
The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima: I so love this series! I only had the paperback of this one and the hardcover was only $7 on amazon so I couldn’t pass it up!
Mastiff by Tamora Pierce: FINALLY got this book! I have been waiting forever for it to be released. I loved meeting the author too! It was so fun!
Ashfall by Mike Mullin: I bought two copies. One is for me and one for a giveaway. Mike did an event at my local library this Friday so I was able to get them singed. I was please by the number of students who showed up on their day off of school. Mike really got their attention with the science behind Ashfall AND he broke a cement block with his hand!
Shannon from Stalking the Bookshelves is made of awesome and sent me a swag pack from The Pledge by Kimberly Derting for my students. There were also signed bookmarks from Beth Revis, Victoria Schwab, and Lisa T. Bergren.
EDIT: My mom just dropped off a box of twenty-four books from Scholastic! It was delivered to my old address. Scholastic is so awesome to librarians that I just had to include it! The videos aren’t that great so I listed the titles as well. I do tell a little about each book (which is why they’re so long!)
