Okay, on to the post! Yesterday I talked about some of the events, people, and places that reappear throughout Sarah Dessen’s books. I thought it’d be fun to try and create some logos for the places that we see again and again. Now, I am NOT a graphic designer nor do I have software that works for graphic design. Still, I wanted to do it! I made a few quick and easy logos using clipart and Comic Life. Don’t judge me too harshly 😉

We first see the Last Chance Cafe in Keeping the Moon. It also appears in Along for the Ride!

Scarlett and John Miller work at Jump Java in This Lullaby. Whitney reads her poem there in Just Listen and in Lock and Key Harriet buys her coffee there.

I think this is my favorite Lakeview destination! I it’s first mentioned in This Lullaby but I remember it most from The Truth About Forever and Just Listen. It is also in Along for the Ride.

Most of Sarah Dessen’s teenaged characters attend one or both of these schools at some point. Jackson High and Perkins Day School are totally schools I’d want to go to!
This is another place I’d love to visit! I want to see Truth Squad play there! I remember it most from This Lullaby and Just Listen.

This one shows up a bit too if I remember. Nothing like gas station fountain drinks!

So yeah, that was fun 🙂 Sorry that the formatting is kind of wonky. Don’t forget to link up if you have a Sarah Dessen related post today!

I love these logos, especially the Last Chance Cafe, we should figure out how to put some of these on to t-shirts or something. Great job!

    Happy Sarah Dessen Week!

What a cute post idea! I love it! And how I wish these places were real! You’d see me attending a NC Sarah Dessen tour, just like the NYC Sex and the City ones! Haha.

Such a fun post! As I said in the comment yesterday, I love seeing these same places pop up in Sarah Dessen books. It makes them all seem somehow connected even thought they are all completely different. You could be a graphic designer with skills like that!
