My Thoughts: Anne Osterlund is an author that I think deserves WAY more recognition! I adore her books!! I’ve know I’ve said it before but I just had to mention it again 😉 Exile is the companion to Aurelia. Here’s the summary for Aurelia:
Princess Aurelia is next in line to rule the kingdom of Tyralt, but she would rather be one of the common folk, free to learn and roam and . . . not marry the next tyrannical prince that comes courting. Naturally, the king wants Aurelia to marry for political power. Aurelia wants to marry for love. And someone in the kingdom wants her dead.
Assigned to investigate and protect Aurelia is Robert, the son of the king’s former royal spy and one of Aurelia’s oldest friends. As Aurelia and Robert slowly uncover clues as to who is threatening her, their friendship turns to romance. With everything possible on the line—her life, her kingdom, her heart—Aurelia is forced to take matters into her own hands, no matter the cost.
You know that saying, “Be careful what you wish for?” Yeah, don’t say that to Aurelia or she might just have to hurt you! She is finally free from the strictures of her royal life and getting to spend all the time she wants with Robert… too bad it’s because she is in exile and people are out to kill her! Basically her life has been turned upside down and she is struggling to deal with the events and betrayals of book one. Add to that a friends/more than friends dilemma with Robert and MORE adventures and betrayals and you just might be close to understanding how Aurelia is feeling.
Ms. Osterlund has crafted another addicting read! Adventure, mystery, romance, intrigue, Danger… what more could you ask for? Aurelia is a strong and spunky lead and Robert will make your heart go pitter patter. This second book will keep you just as engaged as the first and you’ll be dying for book three by the end! Seriously you guys, give one of her books a try!
