There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up.

Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs.

The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost.

Friends can betray.
Mothers can disappear.
Visions can mislead.
Certainties can unravel.

My Thoughts:

Where do I even start. As you can tell from my reviews of The Raven Boys and The Dream Thieves I am a huge fan of this series. Maggie Stiefvater’s storytelling is simply incredible. It’s so smart with subtle world-building perfectly woven into the story. And the complexity! God bless an author who doesn’t talk down to her audience!

I’m not sure how Steifvater does it, but I love each book more than the last. Whenever I pick one up, I am totally absorbed in the story. The connections between the characters and events, the way things build upon previous aspects of the story, the revelations about characters and their motives…. gah! I cannot even express how much I love it!

As far as Blue Lily, Lily Blue, it’s hard to talk about without spoilers. A few things I can point out:

* Cabeswater and the quest for Glendower drew me right back in. So fantastic.
* Ronan forever. And ever, and ever, and ever. I love all the characters but there is something about him.
* “New” characters! Some we’ve met before but get to see more of, some are all new.
* The plot thickens! What a tangled web Stiefvater weaves. HOW DOES SHE DO IT?!?!?
* The tension between the characters. Oy. So well done.

And so much more! I honestly don’t even know how to express my love and admiration for this series. I think Maggie Stiefvater is one of the most talented authors I’ve ever read. This series (and Blue Lily, Lily Blue in particular) just blows me away. So much love. I cannot wait to see what happens next. (And I’m also terrified because I’m pretty sure part of Maggie Stiefvater’s talent stems from readers’ tears!)
