I’m thrilled to be on the blog tour for Miranda Kenneally’s Breathe, Annie, Breathe! I’ve loved all of the Hundred Oaks books and couldn’t wait to see what Miranda had in store for us next! Check out all the stops here.

About the Book:

BABAnnie hates running. No matter how far she jogs, she can’t escape the guilt that if she hadn’t broken up with Kyle, he might still be alive. So to honor his memory, she starts preparing for the marathon he intended to race.

But the training is even more grueling than Annie could have imagined. Despite her coaching, she’s at war with her body, her mind—and her heart. With every mile that athletic Jeremiah cheers her on, she grows more conflicted. She wants to run into his arms…and sprint in the opposite direction. For Annie, opening up to love again may be even more of a challenge than crossing the finish line.

Breathe, Annie, Breathe is an emotional, heartfelt, and beautiful story about finding yourself after loss and learning to love. It gave me so many feels. Her best book yet.” — Jennifer Armentrout, New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You.

About the Author:MIranda

Growing up in Tennessee, Miranda Kenneally dreamed of becoming an Atlanta Brave, a country singer (cliché!), or a UN interpreter. Instead she writes, and works for the State Department in Washington, D.C., where George W. Bush once used her shoulder as an armrest. Miranda loves Twitter, Star Trek and her husband.

My Thoughts:

Every time I read a Miranda Kenneally book I think, “This one! This one is my new favorite!” And this held true with Breathe, Annie, Breathe (at least until I re-read one of the other ones!) There is so much to love! The characters, the pacing, the sport aspect… I just adore everything about these books!

First things first, I mention the “sport” aspect above. Now, I am not what you would call a sporty girl. I don’t play sports, I don’t really watch any sports, none of that. Still, it’s one of my favorite parts of the Hundred Oaks books! In Breathe, Annie, Breathe Annie is training for a marathon. Annie is not so much a runner. I relate to Annie 🙂 Still, I really loved seeing how her progression as a character mirrored her training for the marathon. A lot in her life is changing! As a reader, I appreciated being a part of that.

And then there’s Jeremiah Brown (younger brother to Matt Brown!!) I was so interested in his character (and not just because he’s the love interest/cute boy!) I really liked how he related to Annie, of course. But even more, he’s dealing with his own issues. He’s made mistakes and he knows it. He’s at that point where he’s moving on from said mistakes and figuring out what his life will be. Plus, he’s just a good guy! And I LOVE his family!!!

Breathe, Annie, Breathe is a fabulous addition to the Hundred Oaks books. We get a new and refreshing story, plus we get to see some of our favorite characters from previous books. Basically, it was everything I wanted and more! I highly recommend picking up a Miranda Kenneally book!

Haha rgh? This series is just awesome every single time! Although Jordan has remained my favorite so far, I wonder if this one will bump it up to #2 – everyone is saying how it’s the best one so far. It def. sounds like the most emotional one, too! I can’t wait to meet Annie and Jeremiah! 🙂

I don’t know why, but even the description speaks to me. If I don’t win the giveaway I’m definitely picking this up somehow!
