Ruby Oliver Books

Book One: The Boyfriend List
Book Two: The Boy Book
Book Three: The Treasure Map of Boys
Book Four: Real Live Boyfriends
Author: E. Lockhart
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Source: Purchased

This review is set up a bit differently since I’m talking about all four books at once. To learn more about each one click on the titles. It will take you to the goodreads entry for that book.

My Thoughts: Oh, Ruby. Ruby, Ruby, Ruby. You darling girl you. How I enjoyed reading about your crazy, mixed up, high school years. Is that mean? It’s not malicious, I swear. You’re just so delightfully quirky and you handle yourself with such aplomb. From sassy friends to confusing boys (Jackson and Gideon and Noel, oh my!) you have dealt with it all. And oh my stars…. your family. How they made me smile (while at the same time wincing with sympathy.) Plus, plus, plus! You live in a houseboat! And you use footnotes! Will you please, please, please be my friend?!?!?! I will be a much better friend than you-know-who. I swear.
Sincerely,
Me

P.S. Whenever I hear this song I think of you. 🙂

But seriously you guys… you really want to meet Ruby Oliver. These books are so incredibly readable. I read all four in two days. Actually, I read three one day after work and Real Live Boyfriends the next day. I just couldn’t stop! E. Lockhart writes some of my very favorite characters (See: Frankie Landau-Banks.) Do yourself a favor… check these books out!
