About the Book: HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO?

All Meg has ever wanted is to get away. Away from high school. Away from her backwater town. Away from her parents who seem determined to keep her imprisoned in their dead-end lives. But one crazy evening involving a dare and forbidden railroad tracks, she goes way too far…and almost doesn’t make it back.
John made a choice to stay. To enforce the rules. To serve and protect. He has nothing but contempt for what he sees as childish rebellion, and he wants to teach Meg a lesson she won’t soon forget. But Meg pushes him to the limit by questioning everything he learned at the police academy. And when he pushes back, demanding to know why she won’t be tied down, they will drive each other to the edge — and over….

My Thoughts: Earlier this week I read and reviewed Major Crush by Jennifer Echols. In that review I mentioned that Going Too Far was my first Jennifer Echols book. What I didn’t mention was that after reading Major Crush I was reminded of how incredibly fabulous Jennifer Echols is and I just had to stay up way too late and reread this one! I read it for the first time before I was a blogger so I never reviewed it. I will remedy that today!

The first time I read this book I had absolutely no expectations. Honestly I only had a vague idea what it was about. As I mentioned at the top of the page I only bought it because I wanted free amazon shipping and it was one of the recommendations on my page. Plus the cover intrigued me. I was so pleasantly surprised. I loved that the characters were not your run of the mill teens. They were interesting to me and I felt like I hadn’t really seen them before. I loved that John After was just out of high school. I also loved that he and Meg were so different on the surface. (Basically I just loved John After. He is one of  my very favorite bookish boys!) This created a very captivating tension between them. The story grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let go. Every time I read this book I think I’ll just read a few chapters to start. I never put it down until I am done with the story. The fact that this is true again and again is one of the strongest endorsements I can give!
